Overview

Under the direction of the Healthcare Simulation Specialist, the lab assistant will support simulation activities within our Health Science & Public Safety Division.

Responsibilities

  1. Set up of simulation scenarios to provide the learning environment as outlined by the learning objectives.
  2. Lead simulation activities as directed by the Simulation Specialist.
  3. Clean and disassemble the manikin following simulations.
  4. Organize and maintain supplies and the simulation closet.
  5. Transport Manikins and equipment to learning environments outside of central campus, including but not limited to schools, healthcare centers, and community events.
  6. Troubleshoot issues when manikins are not working properly.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Ability to be flexible with schedule to meet the needs of the learning environment.
  2. Strong computer skills to run and troubleshoot manikin issues.
  3. Strong organizational skills
  4. Ability to interact with diverse populations.
  5. Ability to lift up to 40lbs on an ongoing basis.
  6. Valid Driver’s License, with ability to drive college vehicle outside events.

 

Education & Experience:

  1. Certification, Technical Diploma or Training in a Health Care Related Field.
  2. 1 to 2 years of work experience within Health Care/EMS/EMT.
