The ERP Applications and Integration Analyst provides technical programming support for BTC’s integrated administrative management information system (Banner) and companion products. Responsibilities encompass the full scope of applications development and ongoing support including functionality review, systems analysis, implementations, and application for technical and functional components of the ERP system. Additional products include other campus software and web applications that interact with Banner (i.e., portal, payment gateway, SQL, Sharepoint, Blackboard LMS/Analytics, Perceptive Content.)


This position operates in a team environment to support information technology solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity for the College. This position works closely with departmental staff to examine existing business models and flows of data, discuss findings, and design an appropriate improved IT solution.

The major areas of the ERP Applications and Integration Analyst position include:


Applications development and on-going support relating to implementation, integration, conversion, or other functional ERP system changes.

  1. Consult with supervisor, programmers, and end-users to gather information about: processes, procedures, project requirements, input requirements, output requirements, and internal and external checks and controls.
  2. Program functions, process flows, and steps required to exploit delivered system functionality or develop viable work-around so as to avoid modification or customization of the software.
  3. Present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and external consultants or service providers.
  4. Create and design documentation to ensure consistency with procedures for systems or program operations.


Technical support

  1. Provide technical support for business intelligence reporting environment (ODS/EDW) using IBM Cognos and Blackboard Analytics.
  2. Provide back-up to the Administrative Systems Manager for Banner software and system issues requiring “on-call” and emergency response issues.
  3. Support database design and implementation for new application development projects that are MS SQL & Oracle.
  4. Ensure projects are quality delivered and follow best practices.

  7. Ability to develop queries against a multitude of databases, including but not limited to MS SQL & Oracle.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 5 years of database management system development, specifically in the use of the SQL Language and tools.
  2. Must be familiar with architecture and management of relational database platforms (Oracle 11g/12c, MS SQL Server), including awareness of advanced database functions such as replication and backup.
  3. Experience with application management and configuration skills involving Sharepoint.
  4. Demonstrated high levels of proficiency with Business Intelligence software packages.  Including the ability to develop queries and reports, export and import files, sorting, pivot tables, and subtotaling functions.
