  • Overview

    As the administrative assistant supporting the Director of Foundation, you will provide support to fundraising, fund development, scholarships, and grants.   The role will have a direct impact on supporting students through scholarships and coins for caring activities.

     

    Position will average 20 hours per week.  Specific work hours can be flexible based foundation needs.

     

    Position is posted as open until filled with a successful candidate, we will begin review of applicants on Monday, November 12.

    Responsibilities

    1. Provide front-line customer service to internal and external customers.
    2. Provide administrative support to the department including coordination of mailings, typing correspondence, maintaining files and records.
    3. Administrative support to the BTC Foundation Board including: distribution of Board and Committee meeting materials, record meeting minutes, maintain records, etc.
    4. Assist with the administrative tracking of dollars received to support the Foundation.      
    5. Support the Foundation Scholarship Process including the organizing and compiling scholarship requests and preparation of the scholarship binders for review.
    6. Provide support for student support requests DASH grant or Coins for Caring (e.g. picking up of gas cards, coordinate payment of utility bills, submit check requests, etc.) emergency assistance funds.
    7. Administratively support fundraising initiatives and community events that promote the Foundation.
    8. Provide support to Grant Administrator in the tracking and administration of grants.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    1. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
    2. Strong customer service skills through in-person, phone and other mediums of correspondence.
    3. Ability to work independently with minimum instruction and supervision.
    4. Ability to organize, coordinate, and prioritize assigned job duties.
    5. Ability to handle multiple projects effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions.
    6. Ability to interact with diverse populations.

     

    Education & Experience:

    1. Associate Degree in Administrative Professionals or 4 years of occupational experience.
    2. Microsoft Office Suite certification or demonstrated proficiency/experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook.)
    3. Raisers Edge experience preferred.
