  • Overview

    As the Electro-Mechanical Technology Instructor you will join an instructional team within our Electro-Mechanical Associate Degree Program. In collaboration with Business and Industry develop educational partnerships that are based on our evolving college credit based, “flexible learning,” environment to meet the changing needs of business and industry. Areas of instructional responsibility, including the oversight of qualified adjunct faculty, include the following:

     

      • Integrated Manufacturing Systems & Troubleshooting
      • Electrical (DC, AC, and theory and circuitry)
      • Electronic (digital and analog circuits)
      • PLC (basic and advanced programming )
      • Motors and process control (DC & AC motors, closed loop process control)
      • Mechanical (Linkage, gears, machine tools)
      • Fluid Power (hydraulics and pneumatics)
      • Robotics (programming, electrical and mechanical maintenance, & repair)

    Responsibilities

    1. As part of a team of faculty lead instruction and student assessment, ensuring students are working toward the competencies of defined course and program learning outcomes.
    2. Collaborate with Business & Industry and Secondary Education to ensure the development of a high quality advanced technological student pipeline for today’s Advanced Manufacturing & Agricultural sectors.
    3. Collaborate with instructors, advisors and staff in a team effort to help drive student success in the new teaching and learning environments.
    4. As part of a team, develop curricula, assessments, lab projects and assess other materials, enhancing this student centered flexible technological learning approach, including on-line, face-to-face and project-centered lab environments.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

     

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. Individuals with less than a Bachelor Degree, will need to be willing to work towards achieving a Bachelor Degree. (Equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree is at least 7 years of related work experience, and 14,000 hours.)
    2. A minimum of two (2) years work experience with Integrated Advanced Manufacturing Systems. (5 years preferred)

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    1. Work in the advanced manufacturing or agricultural industries
    2. Previous post-secondary teaching experience
